Good Luck In Upcoming SeasonPlayers and parents, Before anything else, we want to say thank you. Thank you to the players for the effort, energy and willingness to work this week. You embraced the repetition. You accepted the challenges. You made mistakes, learned from them and kept going. That is what development looks like. You also made this a memorable week. The work on the ice was important, but so were the laughs, the encouragement, the friendships and the moments when you pushed one another to be better. You should be proud of the week you had. Now, the next challenge is waiting. Tryouts. And here’s what we want every player to remember: Believe in yourself. You don’t need to walk into a tryout believing you’re the best player on the ice. You simply need to believe that you belong and that you have something to offer. You have spent this week working on your skills. You’ve been challenged. You’ve learned. You’ve put in the repetitions. Now trust that work. There will be moments during tryouts when you make a mistake. Everyone will. Don’t let one bad pass, one missed shot or one tough shift become the story you tell yourself. Reset. Breathe. Get back to work. Coaches aren’t looking for perfection. They’re looking for players who compete, listen, respond to coaching, make plays, work for their teammates and keep going when things don’t go their way. So when you step onto the ice, don’t try to be someone else. Be you. Work hard. Compete for every puck. Make the simple play when it’s there. Be a great teammate. Pay attention. Listen. And when you get an opportunity, take it. Most importantly, don’t let fear of making a mistake stop you from making a play. You have earned the right to be confident. Not because someone promised you a spot. Not because every day went perfectly. But because you put in the work. Now it’s time to trust it. Parents, your role is important too. Tryouts can create a lot of emotion for young athletes. Remind your player that her worth isn’t determined by a roster decision. Help her focus on the things she can control: effort, attitude, preparation, focus and response. Players, take a moment to recognize how far you’ve come this week. Then get back to work. Believe in yourself. Trust your preparation. Work hard. And go show them who you are. We’re proud of all of you. Now go earn your next opportunity. Be a BOSS!
